CHICAGO, May 9, 2023 – Cultivate Advisors, one of North America’s largest small business advisory firms, has been named to Inc. magazine’s 2023 list of the Best Workplaces. The annual list is the result of a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture, whether operating in a physical or a virtual facility.
“What an incredible honor,” said Cultivate Advisors’ Co-founder and CEO Casey Clark. “While the last few years have brought significant uncertainty and rapid change to how we work, it has also significantly impacted the entrepreneurs we advise daily. Successfully meeting their demands can take a toll on our team. Their wins are ours; their losses are ours too. As such, we will continue our approach, ensuring our team members are well taken care of while connecting with our vision as their work is truly life-changing.”
According to survey results from Inc., 91% of Cultivate employees said senior leaders of the organization “value people as their most important resource,” with one noting, “I feel very well compensated, rewarded, and recognized.” And supportive was the top word given when asked how best to describe the work environment. “I love our company and our culture,” said another employee. “We are incredibly mission-oriented, working hard as a team to advance the lives of our clients, ourselves, and each other. We push ourselves to continually evolve, and everyone benefits from the company’s high achievement, high accountability, and high fun culture.”
Being named to Inc.’s Best Workplaces 2023 list comes after a year of continued rapid growth, with Cultivate making the Inc. 5000 for the fourth year in a row. In 2022 alone, the advisory firm supported more than 900 businesses, with those working with the firm for 12+ months growing an average of 43% in top-line revenue and 65% in bottom-line profit year-over-year.
“Our people strategy comes from creating a strong sense of purpose from the impact we have working 1:1 with our clients while remaining flexible and focused,” said Jeremy Round, Cultivate’s People Team Lead. “Successfully meeting their shifting needs means staying proactively ahead of those of our people. We’ve got an incredible team, and we’re excited to see just how much we can change the world.”
After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 591 honorees this year. Each company that was nominated took part in an employee survey conducted by Quantum Workplace, which included topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth, and overall company culture. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine the overall score and ranking.
“Being named to Best Workplaces is an honor that only a small fraction of companies have been able to claim,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Proving to the world that you’re a magnet for talent and have a culture that keeps teams engaged, productive, and proud to come to work is a truly remarkable achievement.”
Cultivate Advisors will be featured on Inc.com and in the magazine’s May/June 2023 issue, which hits newsstands on May 16, 2023.
