Passionate about the power of small business, Alex joined the team of Cultivate Advisors with a mission to help entrepreneurs help themselves.

In 2017, Alex dove headfirst into entrepreneurship when he bought the first of three failing gyms. Since the fitness industry lacks widespread best practices, Alex learned how to run a business from the ground up. He learned to examine problems and build systems from scratch. And through his leadership, the struggling gyms grew into stable companies. In addition to advising, Alex still owns a gym in Austin, Texas, and co-owns FITT Finder, a fitness tech company. Congruent with Alex’s core business goals, the company aims to put profit back into the pockets of micro-gym owners across the country.

When one of Alex’s clients lost her entire middle management team during COVID, he helped her create a plan, hire an entire team and remain open without missing a beat. He also assisted in restructuring essential processes. While many other companies closed or reduced hours, Alex’s client retained a fully-functioning, autonomous team to run her multi-unit enterprise.

At Cultivate, Alex feels at home among like-minded professionals, and he embraces the opportunity to sharpen skills and continue learning. He lives in Austin, Texas and when he is not helping clients, Alex enjoys competitive CrossFit, reading, traveling, mycology, and volunteering on his local Economic Development Council.
