Chris Caton has the experience and business acumen to help clients in more ways than one. While living in Chicago, Chris founded a real estate company that provided services to landlords owning 1,000 apartments or more. During this time, he became a client of Cultivate Advisors, under the leadership of Morgan Ciani. After owning his successful business for eleven years and training over 350 salespeople, Chris sold his company to a competitor.

As a Cultivate Advisor, translating spreadsheets is one of Chris’s superpowers. After reading the numbers, Chris helps clients understand and use the data to mold future strategies. He assists owners with decision-making by converting the numbers into real hiring and purchasing decisions and can also juggle the numbers back onto a spreadsheet for examination. He also helps clients build new sales teams, enhance existing teams and develop sales processes.

Although Chris enjoys nerding out on spreadsheets, he’s surprisingly gregarious and creative. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife Marilyn and their dog Bagel. His hobbies include woodworking, learning new languages and international travel. Fun fact: on one global excursion, Chris was nearly run over by the Dalai Lama.
